Our Story

A lover of fitness and even more so of people, FlowCorps founder Nicole Cannon envisioned a different kind of studio — one in service of helping people’s bodies function at the top of their capacity through safe, healthy movement. She envisioned a warm, welcoming space where people could come together for the single best fitness experience available: dynamic Pilates, and yoga, and cardio classes that sync very intentional movements with the external rhythms in specially selected music to benefit both body and mind. FlowCorps is her vision brought to life.

What makes FlowCorps classes exceptional? They target your core and locomotive muscles to build strength and they instill movement patterns that will serve you well across a lifetime. But that’s just the beginning. Drawing on scientific insights, we structure our classes around music to take advantage of entrainment – the innate human instinct to move to external rhythms. Moving to music the way our bodies naturally want to releases higher levels of dopamine (a neurotransmitter associated with relaxation and happiness), boosts neural plasticity (the brain’s ability to form new connections), enhances motor coordination, and improves mood. It also makes it easier to enter a flow state, where you are fully present and engaged with the activity at hand and perform at your best. Finally, music elevates every class to a fun, uplifting experience, with everyone moving together to the beat and sharing moments of joy and connection. Trust us – with all these elements in harmony, you’ll leave a FlowCorps class feeling invigorated, connected and oh-so-good.
