Meet Jenna

What made you start teaching fitness/at FlowCorps?

My fitness background started years ago as a competitive figure skater. To keep up with my athletic skills, I wanted to find a workout I'm passionate about and suits my unique needs. I have a history of back pain from my skating days and my current career as a pediatric dental hygienist. Being able to challenge myself without putting too much tension on my back lead me to the front door of FlowCorps.

Also, I played around in circus and aerial arts. FlowCorps boosted my upper body strength and allowed me to continue my athletic lifestyle.

What is your favorite part of teaching?

Making themed playlists for my classes! I love when our members compliment my music for the day. I try my best to dig deep to find the best songs to match my theme for the day! And of course when clients meet their fitness goals.

What is your favorite exercise & why?

Obliques! I love finding new and creative ways to work the oblique muscles. These muscles protect our spine and even help with breathing. Snake and oblique deadlift are my favorite FlowCorps duo.

What is your teaching style?

Challenging and trailblazing with firm genuine direction.

What would a typical playlist of yours include?

EDM/Club with a mix of Indie. My favorite artists right now are Alison Wonderland, Running Touch, and Odesza. I'm also a big fan of rock. You will hear Nirvana, Deftones, and Linkin Park.
