Meet Jenna

What made you start teaching fitness/at FlowCorps?

I was a dancer for the first 23 years of my life. I have always loved the feeling of moving to music and doing so as part of a team. In college, I found that group fitness classes gave that same sense of belonging and hint of competition that I got from dance. I started teaching in 2016 with yoga as my primary format. Throughout the years, I’ve taught many different formats, but find myself drawn to those with music at the core.

What is your favorite part of teaching?

My favorite part about teaching is getting to know my classes and seeing students get stronger over time. I love to hear about your goals and getting to know you!

What is your favorite exercise & why?

Hot take, but my favorite exercise is running man. I love that the move is both extremely grounded but also really challenging.

What is your teaching style?

I always say, work hard, but it’s not that serious. I want you to challenge yourself to become stronger while creating space for enjoyment.

What would a typical playlist of yours include?

I love to put together a semi-chaotic mix of current and throwback pop and rap music. You are almost guaranteed to hear a Taylor Swift song every class. Other artists I love to move to are Mac Miller, Beyoncé, Drake, and Russ.
