Meet JorDawn
What made you start teaching fitness/at FlowCorps?
I started my fitness journey a few years ago and loved working with my trainers in regular gyms. Gaining knowledge, understanding my body, and how I could change it. Then coming to FlowCorps just made me fall in love with fitness even more. Continuing to learn from the instructors on functional fitness while working my smaller muscles sold me. The way each instructor encouraged me and took a load off of my mind with not having to create workouts allowed me to truly experience working out in a “flow state”. I’ve never done that before and so efficiently. I knew I wanted to be able to do that for others.
What is your favorite part of teaching?
My favorite part about teaching are the clients. They are so fun to be around and a great community to encourage and guide.
What is your favorite exercise & why?
My favorite exercise would have to be teaser, specifically off the back. It’s a signature in almost every class I teach. Super effective and challenging.
What is your teaching style?
My teaching style is funnnn but tough. I don’t ever want a workout to be easy and I’m gonna push you to challenge yourself as much as possible. But I’ll also make ya laugh or smile in the process.
What would a typical playlist of yours include?
A typical playlist of mine is a variety of old and new music. Throwbacks like U know what’s up - Donelle Jones/ Left eye, Show Stopper - Danity Cane, Bad Girl - Usher, What’s love - Fat Joe, then sprinkle anything Miley Cyrus, SZA, T swift, Pink, Lil Durk, and Beyoncé.
