Meet Meg
What made you start teaching fitness/at FlowCorps?
Oddly, running, and specifically Woodway treadmills, brought me to FlowCorps. I moved back to the Triangle from Richmond in 2021 and I had fallen in love with a fitness studio in Richmond that used Woodways. I researched studios in Chapel Hill that had Woodways and found FlowCorps. I decided I could give the whole pilates thing a shot and became obsessed with how I could strengthen my core and improve my running through this type of functional movement. I'd been interested in pursuing becoming a fitness instructor because of how much I realized my life had been improved by motivating coaches I'd had.
What is your favorite part of teaching?
I love being able to witness clients do something that they thought they couldn't and gain confidence.
What is your favorite exercise & why?
This is probably a hot take but anything that specifically targets inner thighs, whether it's kneeling or standing! I find that the reformer is the only way to really feel the burn specifically in those small muscles.
What is your teaching style?
Encouraging and calm but I know how to build up the energy when you need it most!
What would a typical playlist of yours include?
My playlists are truly all over the place - I like a mix of pop, rap, pop country, and plenty of throwbacks. You might hear Higher Love - Kygo/Whitney Houston, High Horse Remix - Kacey Musgraves/DJ Kue, Up - Cardi B, or Toxic - Britney Spears.
